With Vlad Tenev, Co-founder and CEO of Robinhood

More than 150,000 Robinhood users have connected outside AI agents, such as Claude Code or Codex, to the broker so the agents can place trades for them, Vlad Tenev said. Robinhood is now building that into its own app.

Most consumer AI finance products do one-off chores, like moving cash to a higher-paying account. Tenev said the only agent use that keeps customers coming back is trading, and that is where Robinhood is putting its effort.

"Robinhood Agents will make it easy for anyone to be a financial trading quant."

Vlad Tenev, co-founder and chief executive of Robinhood, on TBPN, started his career in algorithmic trading. He spoke from Houston, at Robinhood's HOOD Summit event for 1,500 of its most active traders.

  • Agentic trading is the one AI finance use with lasting usage, Tenev said
