With Pari Singh, Founder and CEO of Flow Engineering
Flow Engineering has raised $50 million at a $750 million valuation, Pari Singh said, and plans to spend heavily on AI for hardware engineering.
Hardware makers check that a whole design still fits together, a process called systems verification, once every six to 12 months, because it is slow and expensive. Singh said AI lets them do it continuously, the way software teams test every code change.
"I think when we see design cycles of rockets and airplanes and cars go down from twelve months to twelve weeks to twelve hours, the world's moving very, very fast, that is the opportunity ahead of us, and that is what we are investing in."
Pari Singh, founder and chief executive of Flow Engineering, on TBPN, sells requirements and verification software to companies including Anduril, Joby, Stoke Space and Rivian.

Here are the 5 takeaways that matter.
Key Takeaways
Flow raised $50 million at a $750 million valuation to invest heavily in AI
3D design is the last step in building hardware, after tens of thousands of hours of other engineering
The biggest problem in hardware is integrating systems, because small changes ripple out
96% of Flow's customers come to it unprompted, and onboard in about 30 days against 9 to 12 months for older vendors
Flow's entry point is requirements management, which Singh calls the system of record that all design data checks back to
1. $50M at a $750M Valuation
"We raised 50,000,000 on a $750,000,000 valuation." — Pari Singh
Flow will invest heavily in AI, he said, which is transforming hardware engineering the way it transformed software engineering over the past year.
