With Nicola White, VP of Institutional Crypto at Robinhood and General Manager of Bitstamp
Wiring money to another country costs about 6% on average, and Nicola White, VP of Institutional Crypto at Robinhood and General Manager of Bitstamp, told Scott Melker on The Wolf Of All Streets that stablecoins can do the same job for a fraction of that. Most of the Washington debate over stablecoins is about domestic rules. Nicola says the bigger prize is payments that cross borders, and that federal rules are now in place for companies to start building them.
"All the pieces are there and the building is definitely happening... a lot of our customers... are frantically building behind the scenes to start to use some of this guidance we've gotten recently." — Nicola White
Nicola has spent nearly two years building Robinhood's institutional crypto business, including Bitstamp, the exchange Robinhood bought largely for its roughly 50 licenses worldwide.
