With Matt Cole, CEO of Strive
Strive's base case is that Bitcoin compounds at 50% a year through 2030, which Matt Cole said would put it at $400,000 to $500,000.
Cole called that forecast conservative, because it sits below Bitcoin's own record: in every past bull run that began from Bitcoin's 200-week moving average, he said, the annual growth rate over the following three to four years never fell below 60%.
"Bitcoin will reclaim its role as the fastest horse versus gold, and it will go to the moon."
Matt Cole, CEO of Strive, on Bloomberg Crypto, runs a Nasdaq-listed company that holds Bitcoin as its treasury asset. He said Strive never sold a single coin through the bear market and is now buying large amounts every week.

Key Takeaways
Strive's base case is 50% annual growth for Bitcoin through 2030, which Cole called conservative
No Bitcoin price is too high for Strive to keep buying, he said, until the US debt problem breaks something
10-year Treasury yields would be above 10% without the Fed and the Treasury holding them down, in his estimate
The Bitcoin treasury model did not break in the downturn; the companies that launched into it with bad debt terms did
Strive outperformed Bitcoin by more than 100% in 2026, he said, while Bitcoin was roughly flat
1. Why 50% Is Conservative
The anchors opened with the market backdrop: digital assets had just climbed back above $3 trillion in value for the first time since January, with Bitcoin a little above $86,000. They read out Cole's own line that Strive's base case for Bitcoin through 2030 is 50% compound annual growth, and asked why he called that conservative.
Cole gave two reasons. The first looks backward. When Bitcoin has moved up off its 200-week moving average into a bull market, he said, the annual growth rate over the next three to four years has never been below 60%. Strive trimmed that figure because Bitcoin is already above that average.
The macro setup is better than in the last cycle
The second reason, which he called the more important one, is the economic backdrop. He compared today with the 2022–2023 bear market and the 2024–2025 bull market that followed it.
"And our view is that this set of macro conditions is substantially better for Bitcoin than this last bull market was." — Matt Cole
Strive anchored its forecast to that last bull market, he said, which works out to around 50% a year into 2030, "which would put Bitcoin in the 400 to $500,000 range."
A weaker dollar is the release valve
Strive's base case is that the dollar will be substantially weaker. He expects Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent to limit how far long-term interest rates can rise over the next couple of years, "although I don't think he's done enough yet." With rates held down, he said, the pressure comes out through the dollar.
